Men’s swimsuits – an overview
Men’s swimsuits look like Bermuda shorts which are water resistant made up of polyester material. Trunk style swimsuits are offered in a wide assortment of patterns and designs, making them good choices for guys who want to show off their sense of fashion.
Brief swimwear known as Speedos in United States has gained popularity as it can enhance a strong male physique. Brief swimwear is form fitting and is cut similarly to a men’s brief undergarment, leaving an overwhelming majority of the leg and thigh exposed.
One important thing to consider when choosing a swimsuit is the type of material. If you swim often, choose a suit that is made from chlorine-resistant material. If you want to minimize your tan lines, look in for a tan-thru fabric. If you’re a serious competitive swimmer or swim often for fitness, look in for suits that are made from slick, low-drag material.

Swimsuits should be rinsed thoroughly following use in a chlorine pool. If you don’t rinse or wash them immediately, chlorine residue could cause severe fading in dark-colored swimsuits. Swimsuits should also be washed in a machine washer using a non-bleach detergent. Do read the manufacturer’s suggestions carefully, as certain materials can be damaged in a washing machine or dryer.
Despite the advances in fiber technology, chlorine will eventually deteriorate swimsuit fabrics. When your suit begins to bag or feels looser than when it was new, it is time to replace your suit.
