Choosing your swimwear can be confusing, so we have tried to take the complexity out – and make it as simple as possible. Don’t forget you can leave your own review on any of the swimwear we have, to help the wider swimming community find the perfect costume.
What type of swimmer are you?
Competition
Obviously if you are a competitive Swimmer – whether it be at Junior, Masters or Triathlete level – you will need a racing suit. Not as simple as it sounds, the world of high performance racing swimwear uses technology found in F1 cars and the NASA space programme – so choose your weapon carefully! To view the list of FINA approved racing swimwear click here. Remember, most competitive swimmers will try and ‘downsize’ by one or two sizes and squeeze into as tight a suit as possible. So bear this in mind if you are buying a suit as gift for someone.
Performance
The Performance swimmer is the competitive Swimmer/Triathlete who requires daily training swimwear with exceptional comfort and fit. You may not necessarily be a competitive racer – but you swim regularly and need a suit that’s highly durable. Click here to view our range. For the Male swimmers, Aqua shorts and Jammers have become more popular in recent years – but for some there is no substitute for the classic ‘Speedo’ style brief.
Fitness
If you have no desire to compete, but want to swim for fitness or as part of a wider fitness programme – the Fitness range is for you. Focussing on lower leg heights, tummy and or bust control – our Fitness swimwear will allow you to enjoy your swimming without feeling too self conscious whilst still recognising you expect performance from your suit. Drag Shorts
Whether you are Male or Female, if you are a serious Swimmer or Triathlete – you’ll probably want a pair of Drag shorts. Designed to wear over your normal swimwear – but now also worn as a fashion accessory – these shorts will add extra resistance to your training, making you feel faster on race day.
