Great Accessories to go Along with Your Beach Chairs

We all know that when we go on a trip to the beach, that it is great to have some beach chairs along. They are more comfortable than the sand, they help reduce sandy grit being stuck to your body, and for some people, they are a whole lot easier to get in and out of than standing up from the ground. Besides benefits of beach chairs, they also come in a variety of styles and built out of a lot of different material. You can get wood chairs (wood frames with canvas seats), aluminum frames with plastic or cloth, or recycled plastic for the ultimate conservationist. You can get lounge chairs, basic folding chairs, director’s style chairs, chairs that can be carried like a back pack, sling chairs, and the list goes on. But besides beach chairs, there are a few other accessories that are helpful for the ultimate beach experience. Let’s take a look at some of these accessories and how they can benefit your beach experience.

A small, portable beach table is really helpful. Set it up next to your lounger or between a couple of beach chairs, and you have a place for your drink, sun tan lotion, book or magazine, snack etc. It just makes life a bit easier, and keeps the sand out of everything. It also helps to avoid the accidental spills, kicked sand in food, and other problems when kids come running up to ask you a question.

Though one reason you may be at the beach is to soak in some rays of golden sunlight, you don’t want too much of a good thing. It is also good to have some shade for the kids to get out of the sun occasionally, especially if the beach is an all day affair. There are a couple of different solutions to this dilemma, but one of the best ones is a beach umbrella. You can find them in a variety of sizes and colors, and are usually designed to just be stuck down into the sand. Some have a hinging pole so that you can angle the umbrella, this makes it easier to block the sun as it moves through the sky during the day. Other types of shade blockers include sun tents and similar shelters.

Probably the ultimate splurge in beach accessories to go along with your beach chairs is a cabana. Officially, a cabana, according to Merriam-Webster online, is a shelter resembling a cabin usually with an open side facing a beach or swimming pool. These are great for a little privacy for changing, and you can find small portable one’s that exactly fill this bill. But, in shopping around, cabana’s have also taken on more of a general meaning of a type of arching, overhead sun shade. These provide sun protection as well as better privacy than an umbrella. Regardless of the type of cabana, it can make a beach visit more comfortable.

Besides some of the items mentioned above, there are a lot of smaller accessories, some that come already include with the chair. Things like individual sun shades that hook onto the back of a chair, small bags that hang from the side for holding cell phones, sun glasses, magazines, water bottles etc. Some even have large insulated pockets for keeping items cold. So, if you are in the market for a couple of beach chairs, watch for some of these smaller, included extra’s. Because any of these smaller, or the larger accessories mentioned above, can make your day at the beach a lot more enjoyable when included with your relaxing beach chairs.
