Whats your opinion of taking an 8 month old baby on a boat?

I have an 8 month old baby, and his dad wants to go out on his friends boat tomorrow. Im not sure what kind of boat it is, its the kind that people wake board off of, and they will be wake boarding, if me, my b/f, and our son went, there would be 2 other adults, on a lake, and the babys to little for a life jacket. So what do you all think of this idea? I do not like it, I dont think my son would be safe, and also I have been feeling really crappy the past month, and even worse today because I am pregnant again. So as much as my fiance wants to do this I think hes gonna have to count us out, although I would really like his help with our son, seeing as how crappy I have been feeling. But I dont want to spoil his fun.

There are life jackets for infants that young. I would get one and then I say go for it. The fresh air might make you feel better too. He would probably enjoy it more than you might expect.
