Are certain goggles faster than others?
Do certain goggles have a lower profile or are made to be more hydro-dynamic? Are the way goggles are designed purely aesthetic? I race with Speedo Speedsockets which is supposed to have a lower profile than other goggles. I also saw someone at Sectionals with goggles that tapered downwards towards the mouth, like a tear-drop. Is there an inherent advantage to wearing different goggles?
in all honesty if you’re training really hard the split seconds that goggles would make wouldn’t probably make a difference. especially from at sectionals/jr. nationals level. i mean seriously serious drag reducers: suit and probably a cap.
i used to be skeptical about technical suits and figured they worked really well. but things that cover the eyes affecting you’re race significantly… probably not.
